Job summary

Potter Global Technologies is seeking a dedicated Material Handler at our Hazlewood, MO site to support warehouse operations and ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipping. You will read orders, identify materials, and prepare shipments while maintaining inventory accuracy and a focus on minimizing damage during transit.

  • Material Handler Experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve products from designated storage locations within the warehouse.
  • Read work orders to identify materials for picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Identify items based on order specifications and ensure correct quantity.
  • Pack materials into containers per packing requirements.
  • Ensure materials are packed to prevent damage during transit.
  • Prepare shipping labels and verify addresses; ensure documentation is complete.
  • Coordinate with carriers for timely dispatch of packages.
  • Conduct visual inspections for defects or discrepancies.
  • Update stock levels in inventory systems and report shortages/overages.
  • Collaborate with team to achieve daily shipping goals.

Join Us as a Material Handler at Potter Global Technologies!

What You’ll Do
  • Retrieve products from designated storage locations within the warehouse
  • Accurately read work order or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be picked, packaged, and shipped
  • Accurately identifying items based on order specifications and ensuring the correct quantity is selected
  • Pack all materials into appropriate containers based on specific packing requirements
  • Ensure materials are packed effectively to avoid damage during transit
  • Coordinate the shipment process by preparing shipping labels, verifying addresses, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete
  • Collaborate with shipping carriers to facilitate the timely dispatch of packages
  • Conduct visual inspections of products during the picking and packing stages to identify any defects or discrepancies
  • Utilize inventory management systems to update stock levels and communicate any shortages or overages, as needed
  • Work effectively as a team to achieve daily shipping goals
Key Strengths & Skills
  • Ability to conduct repetitive movements of lightweight parts (up to 10 pounds/part)
  • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Able to interact with others in a respectful and collaborative manner
  • Adequately read and follow written instructions from an operation manual

Location

This is a full-time position, on-site at our Hazlewood, MO location. The expected schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, but an occasional shift in hours may be necessary to accommodate project schedules.
