Job Responsibilities
  1. Unload and issue bar stock to Machine Shop following receiving and inspection operations. Use crane to unload bar stock upon delivery to Harris. Stage stock on the floor in the Machine Shop staging area. Call the Receiving Clerk to prepare a Receiving Report accepting the product. Call Receiving Inspection to inspect and record the acceptance of the bar stock order. Use crane to lift the bar stock bundles into their respective stock racks. Discard the banding and crating that secured the order.
  2. Issue bar stock to machining centers per ZE. Record on ZE the stock number or count of bars placed at each machine. Pick up excess stock from previous orders and return it to stock.
  3. With forklift, transport bulk stock delivered through Receiving. This includes hoses, forgings, gauges, springs, and other bulk items. Relocate items to floor or rack locations within Stock.
  4. Receive all machined parts from Machine Shop to Stock following Q.C. inspection. Complete Shop Order Receipts documenting interdepartment transfer of parts into Stock locations. Box, band, and palletize bonnets for outside plating operations. Record part number and quantities on each pallet and forklift the product to Distribution for truck shipment.
  5. Issue forgings to the Machine Shop from ZE. Determine quantities and locations necessary to fill the order from the MRP system. Record allocation on ZE. Remove palletized forgings and deliver to the machining center. In cases where machine storage forbids issuing all parts, place an orange sticker on the racked pallet identifying the order, part number, and quantity of forgings allocated. This identifies the issue for off-shift use.
  6. Learn safety and housekeeping rules and standards for the work area. Apply and maintain them.
