Job summary

Eos Energy Storage in East Pittsburgh is seeking a Material Handler to move and store materials in the warehouse, load and unload trucks with a forklift, and record receiving transactions in the ERP system. You will label products, locate items for deliveries, and support inventory counts on the production floor.

  • Forklift experience is preferred.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.

Job description

A Material Handler is responsible for moving and storing various materials within the warehouse. The main duties include loading and unloading material with a fork truck, recording receiving transactions into the ERP system based on the vendor’s packing slip.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare inventory kits.
  • Drive fork truck.
  • Load/unload material from trucks.
  • Move material around the warehouse and production floor.
  • Perform transfers of material in ERP system with a scan gun and computer.
  • Label products.
  • Identify and locate correct products during the delivery process.
  • Assist in physical inventory counts.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must be able to lift to a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work long hours (12-hour shifts)/ weekends on an as needed basis.
  • Must have the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Operate within existing safety guidelines.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience required.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems a plus.
  • Forklift experience.

Factory - The worker may be subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, vibration, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to temperature changes or exposure to chemicals. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, odors, dust, mists, and gases. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and lab coats. May be required to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
