Job summary

Sonoco is seeking a Material Handler in DeForest, WI, on a 6pm–2am shift. The role involves operating a forklift, unloading and inspecting raw materials, staging supplies, and ensuring proper labeling for shipment.

You will replenish materials, follow the production control schedule, and maintain safety and organization throughout the warehouse. The job requires forklift experience in a fast-paced environment, adherence to safety protocols, and familiarity with LP gas handling rules.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience in a fast-paced environment is required.
• Must be safety oriented and follow food safety guidelines.
• Familiar with LP gas tank handling rules and regulations.
• Experience with banders and stretch wrappers is a plus.
• Willing to work the schedule and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move raw materials and finished goods.
• Unload, inspect, and stage materials and packaging supplies.
• Identify, label, and document finished products for shipment.
• Replenish supplies in assigned areas and align with production schedules.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
