Job summary

Sonoco Products Company in Neenah, WI is seeking a Material Handler to support production through safe forklift operation and timely handling of raw materials and finished goods.

You will verify labels, load and unload trucks, maintain inventory, and keep a clean, organized warehouse while working overtime as needed. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a stand-up forklift in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, and ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• Willingness to work overtime and adapt to a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate a stand-up forklift safely and efficiently.
• Distribute finished goods and raw materials to appropriate workstations.
• Check and verify tags, markings, and labels for accuracy.
• Load/unload trucks and maintain relevant paperwork.
• Maintain and organize warehouse inventory; assist with monthly counts.
• Keep work area safe, clean, and organized.

Position: Material Handler
Location: Neenah, WI
Wage: $30.29/hr
Shift: 3rd 10:45pm - 6:45 am (shift differential $0.75) Sunday-Thursday

Must be willing and flexible to work overtime when needed.

Sign-on Bonus of $2500

While reporting to the Department Supervisor, you will be responsible for forklift driving and material handling of raw/finished goods. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. You must have a proven record of success in a fast-paced environment. You must have the ability to work with various teams and have a good eye to spot defects in the packing line. You will take pride in your personal hands‑on and analytical abilities, organizational skills and attention to detail.

What you’ll be doing:

• Responsible for the safe and efficient performance of assigned duties and the operation of a stand‑up forklift.
• Support the needs of production through the handling and distribution of finished goods, raw materials to the appropriate workstations throughout the plant.
• Checks and verifies tags/marking/labels for accuracy.
• Loads/unloads trucks; processes and maintains appropriate paperwork.
• Maintains parts inventory; assists with monthly inventory; arranges and sorts warehouse stock.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.

• Previous experience in driving a forklift.
• To succeed in this role, you will need excellent writing and verbal communication skills and the ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• Working independently and managing multiple tasks simultaneously is needed.
