Overview
The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, handling, staging products, and preparing items for customer delivery, while maintaining a safe and orderly environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and unload freight manually or with equipment such as forklifts.
• Verify order quantities and quality, inspect for damages.
• Wrap, package, and ship orders; assist with cross-training shipping tasks.
• Complete administrative tasks like attaching labels, organizing records, and logging received goods.
• Determine storage locations and assist in moving incoming items.
• Pick and review orders according to work orders and instructions.
• Operate forklifts safely for transporting materials.
• Assist in loading/unloading trucks and stacking items safely.
• Record damaged items and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
• Maintain a safe and clean shipping/receiving area.
• Work well within a team and participate in cross-functional projects.

Other Duties

• Cross-training in shipping tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• 1+ years’ experience in shipping, receiving, or manufacturing (preferred).
• At least 1 year forklift driving experience.
• Ability to read, write English, follow instructions, and perform basic math.
• Basic computer skills for administrative tasks.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
• Bend, stoop, lift, and move objects over 50 lbs.
• Stand, sit, and walk for 8+ hours daily.
• Work in varying indoor weather conditions.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
