Job description

Groundworks is seeking a talented Material Handler to join our team in Columbia, SC!

As a Material Handler, you will ensure a smooth warehouse operation by managing receipt, shipping, coordination, and safety of goods. You will oversee that orders are received, dispatched on time, and in the correct quantities.

Job Responsibilities

• Unload received deliveries and place items in designated locations
• Pick and package materials for shipment
• Load outbound trucks
• Move materials within the facility to support manufacturing, receiving, and shipping
• Maintain a safe, clean warehouse environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma
• At least 1 year of forklift operation experience in a warehouse setting
• Experience with scanners
• ERP system knowledge preferred
• Ability to maintain a safe, clean work environment
• Ability to obtain OSHA certification and forklift license

Physical Requirements: Standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, pulling, driving, sitting, and lifting.

Working Conditions: Metal fabrication and warehouse environment.
