Job Overview

Basic Function: The Material Handler is responsible for performing all duties related to incoming and outgoing material.

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, and transfers material to designated areas following training procedures.
• Labels and stocks material in the warehouse using equipment such as scan guns, forklifts, or pickers; lifting and carrying may be required.
• Inspects material for deficiencies or breakages prior to shipment or storage.
• Records all material discrepancies according to procedures.
• Prepares inventory for warehouse stock.
• Pulls material from shelves based on ticket requirements (forklift or picker use required).
• Fulfills customer orders and completes related paperwork.
• Prepares materials for shipment, ensuring proper packaging to prevent damage.
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace, including moving pallets and sweeping.
• Follows safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions immediately.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills—written, technical, and oral.
• Basic math skills.
• Good organization, planning, and time management abilities.
