Swiss American CDMO is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support our Compounding Operations team. This role is responsible for the accurate movement, storage, and tracking of raw materials and chemicals while ensuring inventory integrity and compliance with company procedures and GMP requirements.
The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or batch processing environment and enjoys working in a fast-paced setting where safety, quality, and teamwork are critical to success.
What You'll Do
As a Material Handler, you will:
- Safely locate, retrieve, transport, and return raw materials and chemicals using forklifts and inventory management systems.
- Pull, stage, and transfer materials to support compounding and production operations.
- Verify materials are quality-approved and within expiration requirements before use.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counting, reconciliations, and system transactions.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and assist with corrective actions.
- Monitor inventory levels and support the handling of expired or rejected materials.
- Accurately document material movements to ensure product traceability.
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support weighing operations by supplying materials and restocking consumables as needed.
- Maintain compliance with GMP standards, SOPs, safety requirements, and warehouse procedures.
- Keep warehouse areas organized, clean, and safe.
- Perform equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair needs.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Warehouse, and Procurement teams to ensure efficient material flow.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, pharmaceutical, chemical, or batch processing environment.
- Forklift operation experience.
- Experience working with inventory control systems or warehouse management systems.
- Familiarity with GMP regulated environments.
