Position Overview

Wieland is hiring a Material Handler in Carol Stream, IL. The role involves supporting production through packaging, handling, transportation of materials, and assisting with machine operations as directed by the foreman. The position is fully on-site.

Compensation and Schedule

Starting Pay: $22.08 per hour + shift differential

Schedule: 2nd shift

Responsibilities

Core Accountabilities (Material Handler - Common)

• Perform tasks safely, identify hazards in the environment.
• Follow all Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
• Uphold management standards.
• Complete machine-specific or situational duties as assigned.

Core Accountabilities (Material Handler - Forklift)

• Operate Stand Up and Sit Down forklifts safely.
• Unload trucks and manage inventory placement.
• Deliver stock to machines and respond to machine signals promptly.

Core Accountabilities (Material Handler - Machine)

• Package materials per customer specs and QA alerts.
• Assist machine operators as needed.
• Respond to machine signals promptly.

Qualifications

• Experience with forklifts (Sit Down and Stand Up).
• Competency in using banders.
• Ability to read and interpret customer specifications and notices.
