Aerotek in Caldwell, Idaho is seeking a Material Handler to join a small team in the windows section of our warehouse. You will load/unload windows, use RF scanners, and help with shipping/receiving, packing, and inventory control.

This contract-to-hire role is fully on-site with a Monday-Friday schedule, offering weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. The position requires physical endurance and strict safety adherence in a production environment.

Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

The Material Handler works in the windows section of a warehouse as part of a small team of three, performing physically intensive loading and unloading of windows on and off trucks. The role requires consistent attention to safety, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and comfort with repetitive manual handling tasks throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload windows onto and off of trucks by hand, following all safety procedures.
• Work in a small team of approximately three people while also completing tasks independently as needed.
• Handle windows carefully, using appropriate techniques such as sliding them across the floor when necessary to reduce physical strain and prevent damage.
• Perform general labor and material handling tasks within the windows section of the warehouse.
• Use RF scanners to pick orders accurately and maintain proper inventory records.
• Support shipping and receiving activities by loading, unloading, and staging materials.
• Assist with order picking, packing, and preparing products for shipment.
• Contribute to warehouse inventory processes by organizing, counting, and tracking materials.
• Operate basic warehouse equipment as assigned and follow all safety training and guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, promptly reporting any hazards or issues.
• Follow production requirements and meet established productivity and quality standards.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull materials within specified weight limits, using team lifts for heavier loads.
• Perform tasks that may involve climbing, kneeling, and other physical movements required in a production and warehouse environment.

Essential Skills

• Experience with general labor and material handling in a warehouse or production environment.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, including frequently lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds with team lifts.
• Strong safety orientation and adherence to safety training and protocols.
• Experience with order picking, shipping and receiving, loading, and unloading tasks.
• Ability to use RF scanners for picking and inventory activities.
• Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team.
• Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve climbing, lifting, pushing, pulling, and kneeling.
• Comfort working in environments with temperature variations, increased noise levels, dust, and mechanical parts.

• Previous warehouse experience, including picking and packing responsibilities.
• Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or production setting.
• Familiarity with warehouse inventory processes and production workflows.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
