Overview

The Material Handler is responsible for manually or using hand trucks moving materials, supplies, and finished goods to designated areas within the facility or onto trucks. This position typically reports to the Warehouse Supervisor or Lead.

Responsibilities

• Perform various material handling duties manually or with a hand truck.
• Load finished products onto pallets or hand trucks.
• Stack skids or pallets in designated areas.
• Provide cleaning services, including sweeping floors, cleaning offices, and removing trash.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment by performing related tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk for 10-12 hours.
• Ability to lift and/or pull 50 lbs without restriction.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching above and below the waist.
• Frequent walking in a distribution center over a quarter mile in length.
• Ability to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting, and temperature.
• Availability to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Attention to detail.
