Job summary

Ball Corporation is seeking a Material Handler to join a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment in Arizona. The role involves operating forklifts, coordinating materials, and ensuring safety and quality standards on a 12-hour shift system (4 days on, 4 days off).

Onsite work with potential travel between Ball locations is expected. Qualifications include a High School Diploma and 1 year of industrial experience; preferred are forklift maintenance experience and ERP system familiarity.

• Follow all 5S standards and job safety practices and policies including but not limited to food safety; personal protective equipment; emergency procedures, etc.

• Effectively communicate with vendors, delivery drivers, and customers.
• Inspect aluminium for proper quality standards and customer specifications.
• Build positive relationships across designated team by effectively collaborating, communicating, and upholding ethical integrity.

Position Overview

As a Material Handler, you’re a member of an assigned production crew, reporting to the Plant Warehouse Supervisor. You will contribute to the success of Ball by observing operating principles of all assigned equipment and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for your area of responsibility.

The Glendale plant is a high-volume, fast-paced 24/7-365 days/year manufacturing environment. Our crews work 12 -hour shifts (6:00am-6pm/6:00pm-6am) working 4 days on/4 days off and rotating from day to night shift every 32 days.

Your Key Responsibilities Include

• Follow all 5S standards and job safety practices and policies including but not limited to food safety; personal protective equipment; emergency procedures, etc.

Required Experience & Skills

• High School Diploma or education equivalent.
• 1 year of work experience in an industrial environment.

Preferred Experience & Skills

• 3 or more years of operation and maintenance of forklift.
• Working knowledge of proper hazardous waste management.
• Experience using JD Edwards, AS900, or similar warehouse or ERP system.

Physical Environment & Working Conditions

• Hot/Cold working conditions.
• Standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.
• Climbing (stairs, catwalks, and other equipment as necessary).

• Expected Hiring Rate Range:$27.37/hr.
