Job summary

City of Altoona, PA is seeking a hardworking individual to setup, operate and load/unload machines used for fastener parts cleaning, degreasing, heat-treating and related treatments. You will perform routine departmental maintenance, monitor quality, document results and track inventory.

The ideal candidate can follow directions, multitask and work independently, with the physical ability to move heavy material repeatedly throughout the shift while observing safety rules and procedures.

• Perform general departmental maintenance including machine cleaning, preventative maintenance, quality checks, documentation and inventory.

Setup, operate and continually load/unload various machines associated with fastener parts cleaning, degreasing, heat‑treating and other treatment operations. Perform general departmental maintenance including machine cleaning, preventative maintenance, quality checks, documentation and inventory.

The ability to follow directions is extremely important as well as deductive reasoning skills, ability to multi‑task, and being able to work independently. This position requires an individual that is able to safely move heavy material around their department on a continual basis.
