Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Operations Engineer (Material Flow) in Hawthorne, CA to analyze and optimize material handling for Starship programs. The role emphasizes lean principles, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional collaboration to support scalable production and efficient logistics.

You will design flow, plan layouts, and develop resource models while ensuring safety standards and training across Materials Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• Strong analytical and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize material flow from receipt to lineside and reverse logistics.
• Plan factory and warehouse layouts to maximize density and efficiency.
• Develop labor and equipment models using lean principles to meet production goals.
• Create packaging strategies to reduce landed cost while ensuring quality.
• Analyze data with Excel/Tableau/SQL to drive improvements.
• Ensure safety compliance through audits and training.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Supply Chain on key projects.

Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering
