SpaceX is seeking an Operations Engineer (Material Flow) to analyze, design, and optimize the receiving, storage, movement, and presentation of materials for Starship programs. The role requires hands‑on process design and cross‑functional collaboration.

You will apply lean material flow principles, data analytics, time studies, and project management to ensure safe, efficient, and cost‑effective material handling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (industrial/mechanical/manufacturing or related).
• 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• 2+ years in material flow engineering preferred.
• Experience with layout design in AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement material flow strategies from receipt to lineside.
• Develop layouts for storage and flow to meet inventory targets.
• Model labor and equipment needs using lean principles.
• Create cost-effective packaging between vendors and SpaceX.
• Analyze material flow data with Excel/Tableau/SQL to drive improvements.
• Lead safety audits and training for new processes.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Supply Chain teams.
