Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Material Handler for 1st shift in its ES AMER ESS division. The role focuses on maintaining material flow, operating a forklift, and performing assembly operations to support production lines.

You will follow specifications, adhere to safety rules, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Expect a fast-paced environment with opportunities to cross-train, overtime, and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Must be able to obtain forklift certification.
• Minimum of 1 year experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Interface with other departments in regard to material flow.
• Operate forklift to sustain flow of materials for the department.
• Perform a variety of repetitive sub and final assembly operations on various standard product lines.
• Perform work from specifications, and/or communicated instructions.
• Follow established working procedures.
• Be responsible for own work under minimal supervision and instructions.
• Meet or exceed quality and quantity standards.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Contribute suggestions for methods or product improvement.
• Use and operate tools and equipment consistent with this job.
• Adhere to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions.
• Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork.
