Job summary

Staffmark Group in Cranbury, NJ is seeking a Material Equipment Operator to safely transport materials and support daily warehouse operations. You will operate powered industrial equipment, assist with inventory movement, and help ensure accurate order fulfillment in a fast-paced distribution environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with cherry pickers, reach trucks, electric pallet jacks, and forklifts, plus familiarity with RF scanners and WMS.

Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

Schedule: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM OR 10:30 AM-7:00 PM

We are seeking experienced and safety-focused PIT Operators to join our team in Cranbury, NJ. In this role, you will operate powered industrial equipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment while supporting daily material handling, picking, replenishment, and warehouse operations.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer skills required for warehouse systems and RF scanner use.

Experience Requirements

• Previous warehouse and material handling experience required.
• Must have hands-on experience operating all four of the following: Cherry Picker, Reach Truck, Electric Pallet Jack, and Forklift.
• Experience with order picking, replenishment, put-away, inventory movement, and shipping/receiving preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and productivity in a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety standards, OSHA regulations, and powered industrial truck (PIT) best practices.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, and move throughout the shift.
• Capable of lifting, carrying, and handling warehouse materials safely.
• Comfortable working at heights while operating a Cherry Picker and other PIT equipment.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

Job Duties

• Safely operate Cherry Pickers, Reach Trucks, Electric Pallet Jacks, and Forklifts to support daily warehouse operations.
• Pick, stage, load, unload, replenish, and transport inventory throughout the facility.
• Utilize RF scanners and warehouse technology to track inventory and complete orders accurately.
• Inspect equipment before use and report safety concerns, damage, or mechanical issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment while following company policies and OSHA standards.
