Job summary

Builders FirstSource, Inc. is seeking a driver to load, transport and deliver building materials to customer sites. You will secure loads, unload at destination and provide professional service while following safety rules and DVIR/HOS compliance.

Responsibilities include logging deliveries, maintaining vehicle appearance, and using handheld devices. A valid license, MVR check and DOT medical card within 5 days are required, with strong math and English skills essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old and valid driver’s license.
• Pass MVR report and obtain a DOT medical card within five days of request.
• Less than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years; basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to read and speak the English language; safety-conscious and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Loads and securely secures product inside delivery vehicle.
• Delivers customer orders to sites and unloads materials safely and accurately.
• Verifies order details and maintains logs of deliveries, mileage and locations.
• Acts as a customer service liaison and helps resolve issues.
• Maintains cleanliness and appearance of delivery vehicles and performs safety checks.
• Uses handheld devices to ensure DVIR and HOS compliance.
• Maintain pre/post trip inspections and may handle returns.
• Operate a forklift or non-motorized equipment to load/unload materials.
