Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a Material Coordinator in Florence, SC to support new construction of VCS and CLB products. You will perform material control/support for NEWCON work at the Steel Fab facility, interfacing with Quonset Point, Groton, and government personnel.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1+ year warehousing experience, and willingness to travel and work overtime. You’ll contribute to safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives within a team

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years warehousing/material handling experience.
• Travel to shipyards/partner locations as needed.
• Ability to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Receive, identify, locate, and retrieve materials.
• Support material control and site improvement goals in Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule.
• Interact with EB management and government personnel.
• Prepare shipping documents and communicate ship dates.
