Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) in Colorado Springs, CO, is seeking a Material Coordinator (I&C) to join our warehouse team. You will handle receiving, verification, and classification of materials, and coordinate turn-ins with government agencies.

The role requires GCSS-Army experience, knowledge of FEDLOG, and forklift operation; a US Citizen with a clean background and drug test is needed. On-site work with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in Supply with background in GCSS-Army Operations, knowledge of shipping procedures.
• Must possess and continuously maintain a current State of Colorado Driver’s License prior to starting or by 30 days after employment.
• Must be US Citizen to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check Inquiry (NACI) to obtain a CAC.
• Must receive a favorable background check and drug testing results.

Responsibilities

• Receives materials, parts, components, and major assemblies into the warehouse from customer units.
• Verifies that each item has a DD1348-A1 for turn-in at the SSA level.
• Uses FEDLOG and GCSS-Army to inspect and classify items, and to correct obvious mistakes such as incorrect units of issue, condition codes, or NSNs.
• Prepares ETIDs (Electronic Turn-In Documents) and coordinates turn-in between DLA-DS and the supported activity.
• Loads outgoing and off-loads incoming stock when required.
• Coordinates turn-ins and assists with dispositions with the government Accountable Property Officer and Supply Support Activity Supervisor.
• Repackages and re-crates items that are not sufficiently packaged.
• Other duties as assigned.
