Flex is a diversified manufacturing partner focused on innovative products. The Materials Coordinator role is based in Austin, TX and reports to the Associate Production Supervisor. You will manage inventory, plan material movements and ensure timely distribution to production lines.

Day to day you will compute material requirements, coordinate with Purchasing, and maintain accurate records. The ideal candidate has at least two years in materials or planning, strong Office and ERP skills, and

Responsibilities

• Compute material quantities to complete job orders.
• Review schedules with purchasing to ensure material adequacy.
• Place material requisitions and schedule deliveries according to production plan.
• Verify material conformance to specifications on delivery.
• Coordinate internal transfers to meet production schedules.
• Maintain records of material inventory and production reports.
• Create, update, and analyze reports.
• Gather data, track progress and recommend actions.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Materials Coordinator located in Austin, TX.

Reporting to the Associate Production Supervisor the Materials Coordinator is in charge of various duties within the material function such as inventory control, material planning and distribution.

What a typical day looks like:

• Computes amount of material required to complete job orders.
• Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with purchasing to define adequacy of raw materials.
• Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to production plan, job order priorities and material availability, avoiding excess inventory positions.
• Examines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications.
• Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules, moving or transporting materials from one department to another.
• Compiles and maintains both manual and computerized records such as material inventory, in process production reports, and status and location of materials.
• Creates, updates, executes and analyzes reports.
• Gathers data, tracks, posts and pitches for action plans and root analysis.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Requires a minimum of 2 years of administrative experience within the materials, planning or related function.
• Office Skills: typing, telephones, office software to include, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages and database systems, Experience in the use of computer applications, Inventory Experience, BAAN or any ERP experience, Inventory Cycle count
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
