Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Decatur, IL is seeking a dependable Material Handler to support production by staging materials, operating basic plant equipment, and maintaining a safe work environment.

You will work with the production team to ensure materials and components are available when needed, assist with sandblasting as assigned, and participate in inventory counts and tool maintenance to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Receiving Specialist with receiving, inspecting, and reporting incoming materials.
• Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain company tools and equipment in good working order.
• Assist with the movement and staging of materials, components, and production parts.
• Perform sandblasting of vessels as assigned.
• Clean work areas and return tools and equipment to their proper locations upon completion of work.
• Learn and safely operate plant equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and other material-handling equipment.
• Assist the Controller with physical inventory counts of stock materials.
