Job summary

Mason Manufacturing, LLC is seeking a Material Handler to support machine shop runs and material staging for production of steel vessels. You will assist with receiving, moving materials, and maintaining tools and workspace in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the COO and coordinating with the VP Operations, this role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork to meet production timelines and quality requirements.

• Responsible for machine shop runs and assignments as directed by the COO.
• Stage, move, and handle materials as needed for production.
• Assist with the production of steel vessels and perform a variety of production-related tasks.
• Adhere to all Plant Safety Policies as outlined during orientation and in company safety materials.
• Complete all assigned work and required documentation within the timelines established by the Fitter and/or Plant Manager.
• Work cooperatively with the Fitter and other team members to complete projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer requirements.

• General Responsibilities

• Responsible for machine shop runs and assignments as directed by the COO.
• Stage, move, and handle materials as needed for production.
• Assist with the production of steel vessels and perform a variety of production-related tasks.
• Adhere to all Plant Safety Policies as outlined during orientation and in company safety materials.
• Complete all assigned work and required documentation within the timelines established by the Fitter and/or Plant Manager.
• Work cooperatively with the Fitter and other team members to complete projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer requirements.
• Specific Responsibilities

• Assist the Receiving Specialist with receiving, inspecting, and reporting incoming materials.
• Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain company tools and equipment in good working order.
• Assist with the movement and staging of materials, components, and production parts.
• Perform sandblasting of vessels as assigned.
• Clean work areas and return tools and equipment to their proper locations upon completion of work.
• Learn and safely operate plant equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and other material-handling equipment.
• Assist the Controller with physical inventory counts of stock materials.
• Key Interfaces

• Communicate and coordinate daily work activities with the VP Operations, Production Analyst, QC Manager, and Laborer Team Lead.
• Communicate with welders and/or fitters regarding work assignments and requirements for specific jobs.
• Coordinate with other production personnel to ensure materials and completed work are available when needed.
• Qualifications

• Demonstrated strong work habits, including punctuality, dependability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions.
• Physical ability to perform the essential functions and requirements of the position.
• Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
• Previous experience operating a drill press, band saw, and miscellaneous power tools is preferred.
• Ability and willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and plant procedures.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
