Job summary

Combined Metal Industries in New Castle, PA is seeking a Material Control Specialist to ensure incoming and outgoing materials meet quality standards. The role supports our operations team and uses ERP systems to track orders and coordinate with forklift operators.

You will weigh, inspect, test and grade materials, release for processing, and prepare shipments while maintaining accuracy, safety, and efficiency on the 7:30 AM to 5 PM shift. Previous experience in industrial settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an industrial or recycling facility.
• Shipping/Receiving experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Weigh, inspect, test and grade incoming material.
• Release material for processing.
• Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring quality standards.
• Direct Forklift Operators to load/offload customer trucks safely.
• Evaluate which orders can be fulfilled daily.
• Use ERP system to track and process open orders.

Shift: 7:30 AM to 5 PM

As CMI continues to grow we are looking for passionate people to join our Operations team. As a Material Control Speicalist, you will ensure all material received and shipped during shift meets company and customer quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weigh, inspect, test and grade incoming material
• Release material for processing
• Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring quality standards have been met
• Direct our Forklift Operators to ensure customer trucks are loaded and offloaded efficiently and safely
• Use critical thinking to determine which customer orders can be fulfilled on daily basis
• Use ERP system to track and process all open orders
• Complete all associated documentation

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in an industrial or recycling facility
• Previous experience in Shipping/Receiving is an asset
• Strong English communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Able to multitask
• Desire and ability to learn
