Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) in Tupelo, MS is seeking a motivated Material Control Coordinator to manage incoming materials through inspection, stockroom, and production. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma with 2+ years in material control, SAP familiarity, forklift experience, and strong organizational skills to maintain stock

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two or more years of experience in production/material control.
• Must understand material control concepts and standards and apply them using stockroom procedures and record keeping.
• Must be customer focused and able to identify deviations, analyze issues and interpret data.
• Power Equipment and Forklift experience desired; SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and monitors inventory and work orders; ensures traceability of material and/or parts.
• Coordinates with departments to support materials requirements.
• Monitors and restocks inventory on the shop floor to maintain proper levels.
• Updates daily movement of parts and communicates back-order information to stakeholders.
• Delivers materials to designated production areas and reviews material requisitions for proper allocation.
• Counts inventory, identifies shortages or discrepancies, and investigates variances.
