Job summary

Kurt J Lesker Company is seeking a Material Control Technician to coordinate materials, production orders, and workflow across the Machine Shop, partnering with operators, supervisors, project managers, and purchasing teams to resolve material and routing challenges and maintain schedule adherence.

You will receive inbound materials, label and store them, monitor inventory, and support shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations while upholding safety and quality standards in a fast-paced

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team and adapt to changing workloads.
  • Experience with ERP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and process inbound materials with accurate records.
  • Label, store, and organize materials in warehouse locations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and support cycle counts.
  • Maintain receiving docs, discrepancy reports, and related records.
  • Pick, pack, and stage materials for production and orders.
  • Assist shipping, packaging, and warehouse operations as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve material, inventory, and logistics issues.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Follow work instructions and safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and process inbound materials while maintaining accurate inventory records

  • Follow established work instructions, safety procedures, and department processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills, including Outlook, Microsoft Office, and related applications.
  • Ability to physically perform the job, including climbing, lifting, bending, kneeling, and other physical tasks
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, and lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted. Assistance must be used for items exceeding this weight, and is always required for items weighing more than 60 lbs.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment, with a willingness to motivate and support others
  • Ability to adapt to changing workloads and priorities while meeting production schedules and maintaining quality standards
Preferred
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in material handling, shipping and receiving, inventory control, distribution, or related warehouse operations.
  • Minimum two (2) years of overall warehouse experience
  • Experience with Microsoft products and ERP systems
  • Strong understanding of basic/fundamental warehouse shipping and receiving procedures
