Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, GA is seeking a Material Control Analyst 1 for Materials Fulfillment to support shop floor activities and inventory integrity. This entry-level role collaborates with Manufacturing Management, Material Control, and Warehouse Operations to resolve production and material issues.

You will monitor MRP data, assist with cost variances, and help implement recovery plans.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field required; entry level.
Experience in manufacturing/materials preferred but not required.
Knowledge of inventory, MRP, and shop floor material control is a plus.

Responsibilities

Communicate with supporting departments to ensure on-time delivery of required materials.
Identify and analyze recurring critical path items to mitigate impacts to the production schedule.
Track and status work in progress and inventory levels to ensure aircraft/inventory coverage.
Interface with departments to ensure integrity of schedules and material shortages.
Provide daily updates on aircraft flow and cost variances using applicable reports.
Review and update MRP material master data for reorder points and lot sizes.
Develop recovery plans for forecasted and actual critical items.
Analyze material deviations and coordinate with off-site vendors and departments.
Develop process measurements and reports.
Act as liaison between Materials, Requirements Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Corporate Scheduling, Quality and Operations.
Participate in Lean Manufacturing processes.
