Job summary

Equinox's San Francisco locations are currently seeking Barre, Pilates, and Dance Instructors. You will deliver the Equinox Experience, tailor class intensity, monitor effort, and manage schedule while supporting timely starts and minimal substitutions.

Ideal candidates hold current Pilates Mat/Barre certification, have teaching experience, CPR/AED certification, and a passion for learning. Competitive benefits and complimentary club membership are provided.

Qualifications

• Pilates Mat / Barre instructors must possess a current certification in their discipline.
• Experience teaching.
• Must possess and maintain current CPR/AED certification.
• Knowledge of basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises.

• Friendly, vibrant, and outgoing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Equinox Experience to our members in each class.
• Adhere to the class description and modify intensity for participants as needed.
• Continuously monitor exercise intensity throughout class.
• Ensure class begins and ends on time.
• Teach respective classes regularly and minimize substitutions.
• Communicate with Group Fitness Manager on feedback, equipment and scheduling.

Job Description

Equinox's locations in San Francisco are currently seeking Barre, Pilates, and Dance Instructors.

• Deliver the Equinox Experience to our members in each class;
• Adhere to the description of the class and modify the intensity for participants when necessary;
• Continuously monitor the exercise intensity throughout the duration of the class;
• Ensure class begins and ends on time;
• Teach respective classes on a regular basis and keep subbing to a minimum;
• Communicate with Group Fitness Manager on member feedback, equipment and operational status, scheduling, and subbing;

Qualifications

The successful candidate should have the following experience and qualifications:

• Pilates Mat / Barre instructors must possess a current certification in their discipline;
• Have experience teaching;
• Must possess and maintain current CPR/AED certification;
• Must be well-versed in basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, exercise modifications for all populations;
• Must be eager to learn and continue professional development and education;
• Must be friendly, vibrant, and outgoing

Essential Physical Requirements

• Ability to run, jump, walk, bend, balance, and perform upper and lower body weight bearing movements
• Ability to effectively demonstrate all movements

Pay Transparency

$60.00-$80.00 per Class; $19.61/hr (For non-class work)
