Job summary

Equinox's Tysons Corner location is seeking Barre, Yoga, and Mat Pilates Instructors. You will deliver the Equinox Experience, adapt classes to participants, and help maintain class flow and timing.

Candidates must hold current certifications, have teaching experience, and CPR/AED certification. A friendly, energetic approach and commitment to ongoing professional development are essential to join our team and serve our members.

Qualifications

• Current certification in barre, yoga, or Pilates required.
• Experience teaching.
• CPR/AED certification required.
• Knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, and safe exercise modifications.
• Eager to learn and pursue ongoing education.
• Friendly, vibrant, and outgoing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Equinox Experience to our members in each class.
• Adhere to class descriptions and adjust intensity for participants.
• Monitor exercise intensity throughout classes.
• Ensure classes start and end on time.
• Teach classes regularly and minimize substitutions.
• Communicate with Group Fitness Manager about feedback, equipment, scheduling, and substitutions.

Job Description

Equinox's location in Tysons Corner is currently seeking Barre, Yoga, and Mat Pilates Instructors. The position entails the following responsibilities. This is not a complete description, and certain responsibilities may additionally be presented along the course of employment:

• Deliver the Equinox Experience to our members in each class;
• Adhere to the description of the class and modify the intensity for participants when necessary;
• Continuously monitor the exercise intensity throughout the duration of the class;
• Ensure class begins and ends on time;
• Teach respective classes on a regular basis and keep subbing to a minimum;
• Communicate with Group Fitness Manager on member feedback, equipment and operational status, scheduling, and subbing;

Qualifications

• Barre, Yoga and Mat Pilates Instructors must possess a current certification in their discipline;
• Have experience teaching;
• Must possess and maintain current CPR/AED certification;
• Must be well-versed in basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, exercise modifications for all populations;
• Must be eager to learn and continue professional development and education;
• Must be friendly, vibrant, and outgoing;
