Job summary

Equinox is seeking Barre and Mat Pilates Instructors for Washington DC locations. You will deliver the Equinox Experience in classes, adjust intensity, monitor effort, and maintain on-time starts and finishes.

Ideal candidates hold current certifications, have teaching experience, and keep up with anatomy knowledge and professional development. Opportunities include working within a dynamic fitness team and contributing to member satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Barre or Pilates certification.
• Experience teaching in a fitness setting.
• CPR/AED certification current.
• Knowledge of basic anatomy and safe exercise modifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Equinox Experience to members in each class.
• Adhere to class descriptions and adjust intensity as needed.
• Monitor exercise intensity throughout the class.
• Ensure classes start and end on time.
• Teach classes regularly and keep subbing to a minimum.
• Communicate member feedback, equipment status, and scheduling to the Group Fitness Manager.

Job Description

Equinox's locations in Washington DC are currently seeking Barre and Mat Pilates Instructors. The position entails the following responsibilities. This is not a complete description, and certain responsibilities may additionally be presented along the course of employment:

• Deliver the Equinox Experience to our members in each class;
• Adhere to the description of the class and modify the intensity for participants when necessary;
• Continuously monitor the exercise intensity throughout the duration of the class;
• Ensure class begins and ends on time;
• Teach respective classes on a regular basis and keep subbing to a minimum;
• Communicate with Group Fitness Manager on member feedback, equipment and operational status, scheduling, and subbing;

Qualifications

• Barre and Mat Pilates Instructors must possess a current certification in their discipline;
• Have experience teaching;
• Must possess and maintain current CPR/AED certification;
• Must be well-versed in basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, exercise modifications for all populations;
• Must be eager to learn and continue professional development and education;
• Must be friendly, vibrant, and outgoing; and

PAY TRANSPARENCY

$60-$80/class; or $17.95/hr (non-class work)
