Job summary

Hamlet Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) in Hamlet, NC, is seeking an LPN Dispensing Nurse to join our medication dispensing team. You will dispense doses under clinical direction, document patient responses, and ensure accurate MARs and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have an accredited nursing degree and an NC or compact LPN license, with preferred experience in behavioral health or MAT environments. Shift focus is mornings with some early weekend coverage, training provided.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Prefer 1 year of nursing experience in behavioral health or outpatient treatment.
• Must have no history of alcohol or other drug misuse for three years before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides high quality, safe dispensing of medication to patients under supervision.
• Prepares and administers medications accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintains accurate medication accounting and MAR documentation.
• Charts nursing care and patient progress promptly and accurately.
• Safeguards all medication stock and related regulatory records (DEA, FDA, ADP).
• Spends ~90% of shift on medication administration; remainder on other duties.
• Performs urine collection and processes results as ordered.
• Collaborates with physicians, counselors, and clinic staff for coordinated care.
