Job summary

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) offers a cohort-based Masters-level internship in Research Computing. Interns join small teams, paired with mentors and project stewards, for 10–12 week assignments with potential extension.

Starts May–June 2027 and includes opportunities to take on leadership, architecture decisions, or direction with guidance from mentors. Participants collaborate across labs, exploring ML workflows, AI environments, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud provisioning.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Master’s program at an accredited college or university.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 required.
• Preferred degree areas include Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, IT, HCD, E/E Engineering or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Interns work in small teams with mentors and project stewards.
• Assignments run 10 to 12 weeks with possible extension.
• May start in May or June 2027.
• Contribute to a collaborative, supportive team environment.
