Job summary

Liberty Community Programs seeks a Master’s level Substance Abuse Counselor to provide individual and group counseling, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care for adults in a residential ASAM Level 3.5 program.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards in a outpatient/ residential setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Behavioral Health or related field.
• Experience in substance use disorder treatment, mental health, or residential settings is preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counseling for residents with SUD and co-occurring disorders.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and psychoeducational groups.
• Complete biopsychosocial assessments and individualized treatment plans.
• Develop, update, and maintain treatment plans.
• Document all clinical services accurately and timely.
