• Bachelor's degree or higher in a psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (clinical) or DDAP approved field with 3 years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency incl. 2 years in Addiction Recovery.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel at intermediate to advanced level.
• Strong time management, organization, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive ASAM assessments and develops individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and program placement.
• Maintains client records and complete required documentation (biopsychosocial assessment, progress notes, discharge summaries, recovery plan updates, intake evaluations).
• Presents individual counseling focusing on Relapse Prevention, Addictive Behaviors, and Co-occurring disorders; conducts individual and group counseling.

Residential CounselorLehigh Recovery Center is a 38-bed Residential Unit providing ASAM 3.7WM and ASAM 3.5 services for individuals with substance use disorders.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESProvides comprehensive ASAM assessments with regards to needs and the appropriate placement into the program; develops individualized treatment plans, which respond to the needs of the person served as identified by the assessment and coordinates the initial and periodic treatment plansMaintain client records and completes required documentation according to agency and accreditation standards. This may include, but is not limited to biopsychosocial assessment, IDAS, transition checklist, master treatment plan, individual notes, discharge summaries and recovery plan update, and intake evaluations and documented summaries.Assess client needs; determine their eligibility for services base on insurance coverage.Presents individual counseling session based on the areas of Relapse Prevention, Addictive Behaviors, and Co-occurring disorders.Individual and Group CounselingBachelors Degree or higher from an accredited college with a major in psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with clinical specialty in administration or the human services) or other DDAP approved field and 3 years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency which includes 2 years of working directly in Addiction Recovery.Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel at the intermediate to advanced levelExcellent time management and organizational skillsAdvanced oral and written communication skills to effectively problem-solve.Must be a team player, patient, flexible, and can multi-task.
