Job summary

Universal Health Services seeks a Certified Addictions Counselor to assess patients' substance use histories and develop tailored interventions. The role provides education, individual and group therapy, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in inpatient and partial hospital settings.

You will work with adults, adolescents, and dual-diagnosed patients, applying behavioral health knowledge and maintaining strong communication across care teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling or psychology is required.
• CAADC certification preferred but not required.
• Licensure in counseling (CAC or CCDP) is required or pursued.
• Experience with addictions and behavioral health populations.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' drug and alcohol use history and develop individualized interventions.
• Provide education and therapeutic interventions including group and individual sessions.
• Collaborate with treatment team and adapt care for varied populations in inpatient and partial hospital settings.
• Demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units serving diverse age groups.
