Job summary

SPACE MACHINE & ENGINEERING CORP. in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to develop and maintain CNC programs for precision components. You will create toolpaths with Mastercam, verify via simulations, and ensure compliance with drawings, GD&T, and quality standards.

The role requires strong G/M-code knowledge, setup experience, and collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Production to improve productivity and yield. AS9100 environment experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC programming experience in precision manufacturing.
• Mastercam programming experience required.
• Experience with CNC mills and lathes; AS9100 environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work travelers, and GD&T requirements.
• Develop CNC programs and toolpaths using Mastercam for precision machining operations.
• Post CNC programs to machine controls and maintain organized program files.
• Identify and fix programming/setup issues to prevent nonconforming product.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to improve processes.
• Support first-piece and in-process inspection activities as needed.
