Job summary

Great Bay Staffing Group is seeking a CAM Engineer in Spartanburg, SC to own CAM programming from design through production for aerospace and defense applications. You will translate CAD data to robust multi-axis toolpaths, simulate and verify programs, and contribute to automation initiatives and digital twin maintenance.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Engineering and 1–2+ years of CAM experience with Mastercam, plus familiarity with Renishaw or Blum probing and Siemens/Mazatrol/FANUC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• 1-2+ years of relevant experience.
• Mastercam experience required.
• Multi-axis CNC machining experience required.
• Experience with Renishaw or Blum probing systems preferred.
• Knowledge of Siemens, Mazatrol, or FANUC controls.

Responsibilities

• Translate CAD drawings into CNC toolpaths and machine programs.
• Write CNC programs and G-code for multi-axis operations.
• Select cutting tools, speeds, and feeds based on material.
• Simulate and verify toolpaths to prevent collisions or issues.
• Use Renishaw probing for setup and verification.
• Develop workholding and tooling solutions with engineering.
• Support operators with program updates and implementation.
• Maintain Digital Twin integrity for equipment.
