Job summary

H. T. PROF Group is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to operate 5-axis vertical and horizontal machining centers. The role involves surfacing, profiling, boring, facing, and threading of metal parts, with emphasis on precision and quality.

The candidate will plan, program, and set up complex jobs, interpret drawings and GD&T, and ensure compliance with ISO9001/AS9100 quality standards, safety rules, and company procedures. On-site position in Michigan, with potential for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus five years CNC machining experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Mastercam experience.
• Minimum 5 years of machining across multiple 5-axis applications (Zimmermann, Apec, FPT, Mecof).
• Experience with Heidenhain and Fidia controls preferred.
• General knowledge of QMS (ISO9001/AS9100) and 5S practices.
• Must undergo background checks and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Program 5-axis CNC machines with Mastercam.
• Set up tooling, offsets, and compensation; verify parts and run first articles.
• Measure head clearance and machine travel to verify setups.
• Maintain quality by observing operations and adjusting controls as needed.
• Adhere to safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Document actions and keep logs in Plex ERP.
