Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Mastercam experience.
• Minimum 5 years of machining experience across multiple 5-Axis machining applications (e.g., Zimmermann, Apec, FPT, Mecof).
• Experience with Heidenhain and Fidia controls (preferred).
• Knowledge of QMS (ISO9001/AS9100) and 5S practices.
• Knowledge of basic fixturing.
• Crane experience (preferred).
• Proficiency in basic mathematics, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and rate, ratio, percent calculations.
• Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs and basic engineering drawings.
• Strong verbal, written, and coordination skills; high attention to detail; sound judgment.
• Ability to solve problems with multiple variables in standardized situations.
• High punctuality and attendance; willingness to work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Compliance with safety procedures, security protocol, and PPE requirements.
• Follow AS9100 and ISO14001 environmental policies.

Responsibilities

• Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting GD&T.
• Programs 5-Axis CNC machines with Mastercam.
• Conducts set-ups, calculates tooling requirements, proves part programs, and hangs large workpieces on horizontal machine centers.
• Verifies set-ups by measuring head clearance, machine travel, positions, and first-run parts.
• Maintains specifications by observing machining operations, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting, and adjusting controls.
• Maintains safety procedures and PPE compliance.
• Maintains equipment via preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting actions and communicating needs.
• Interfaces with Engineering, Programming, Materials, and Quality.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs in Plex (ERP).
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Accomplishes organization goals by taking ownership of new requests and adding value.
