Job summary

State of Delaware seeks a Youth Rehabilitation Master Treatment Specialist to join a behavioral health/crisis program for youths 17 and younger. You will deliver direct care, supervise youth, and provide therapeutic services under licensed clinician supervision.

Responsibilities include treatment planning, case management, individual and group counseling, and coordination with community-aftercare providers. A valid driver's license and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Behavioral or Social Science or related field.
• Two years experience with adjudicated/delinquent youth.
• Two years in case management and service planning.
• Two years in counseling and clinical recommendations.
• Two years in interviewing clients and group sessions.
• Two years in behavior management and modification strategies.
• Two years in interpreting laws and procedures.
• Possession of a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management and coordinate services for youth in a secure facility.
• Review case histories, assess needs, and support discharge planning.
• Interview youth and explain supervision terms and goals.
• Participate in treatment planning with an interdisciplinary team.
• Outline objectives, methods and expected results for rehabilitation.
• Coordinate services to meet rehabilitation goals and aftercare.
• Conduct group and individual counseling on anger management and life skills.
• Prepare and maintain social histories and progress notes.
• Supervise youth during education, recreation and work activities.
• May liaise with community organizations for after-care planning.
• May present testimony in juvenile court proceedings.
