Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking a Welder Technician V to perform master-level welding on mechanical and fluid systems in preparation for launch operations. You will align, weld, and fabricate components using diverse welding systems and reference technical drawings, ensuring tolerances and safety are met.

You will mentor teammates, coordinate with engineers on weld procedures, and uphold PPE, 5S, FOD, and ESD standards while recording progress and contributing to streamlined workflows.

Qualifications

• Master-level welding skills including MIG, TIG, and orbital welding.
• Ability to use precision measurement tools and fabricate fixtures.
• Familiarity with PPE, shop safety, 5S, FOD and ESD awareness.

Responsibilities

• Perform master-level welding tasks for mechanical and fluid systems.
• Lead, mentor and train team members on welding projects.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure proper weld procedures and material specs.
• Record daily work and contribute to improving workflows and turnaround times.
