Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or trade school welding program or equivalent experience.
• Must pass 7 weld tests: FCAW (2G, 3G, 4G); GMAW-Pulsed (2G, 3G, 4G); GWAW-Spray (2G).
• Pegasus Welder Workmanship Training (WWT) completion required.

Responsibilities

• Weld proficiently in all positions with minimal defects.
• Read and interpret welding symbols.
• Perform basic grinding, gouging and weld repair.
• Ensure compliance with NAVSEA and AWS D1.1 specifications.
• Maintain safety standards and participate in on‑the‑job training.
• Complete jobs within budget and timeline.
