Job summary

Industrious Group Inc. in Cleveland, OH seeks an experienced welder to join our metal fabrication team. You will weld parts, perform thermal cutting and grinding, and repair components in a fast-paced shop environment.

The role requires ability to read blueprints, operate MIG and other weld processes, and inspect welds for quality using precise measuring tools. Safety, teamwork, and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and weld to specifications.
• Experience with MIG/TIG/STICK welding in a fabrication setting.
• Proficiency with measurement tools and inspection devices.

Responsibilities

• Welds metal parts together using gas welding or brazing and arc welding processes.
• Perform related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding.
• Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and welds overlay metal parts.
• May locate cracks using NDT methods and repair cracks in large fabrications.
• Positions and sets up components for weld repairs and fabrication.
• Lays out parts and assemblies, rigs cranes and fixtures as needed.
• Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions and adjusts parameters.
• Inspects weld grooves, angles, gaps, and related aspects using precision instruments.
• Pre-heat parts for effective welding and perform quality checks.
• Follow safety policies and ensure compliance with standards.
