Job summary

Hi-Vac Corporation in Marietta, OH, is seeking a Master Welder/Fabricator to build high-precision components from drawings and blueprints. You will layout, fit, and weld fabricated parts to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames and vacuum components.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Heavy fabrication and repair experience is required.
• Ability to read shop and fabrication drawings.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication drawings.
• Lay out, measure, position, align, and fit components for welding.
• Weld using arc, MIG (GMAW), submerged arc, and other processes.
• Use precision tools to verify dimensions to the thousandth of an inch.
• Troubleshoot welding and fabrication issues and build fixtures for repeatable parts.
• Weld up to 3" plate and in all positions as needed.
