Miami University is seeking a Master Trades Specialist (Plumber) to perform complex repairs and installations on university facilities. This 4-day, 10-hour shift runs Sunday through Wednesday from 3:30 pm to 1:30 am, with an hourly rate of 26.4.

The role requires skilled trades training and several years of experience in plumbing, plus a valid driver’s license. Responsibilities include reviewing orders and blueprints, estimating materials, coordinating with clients and other trades, and

• Knowledge of plumbing procedures and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires nine months training beyond high school in a skilled trade and three years of experience in that trade, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Requires a valid driver's license and the ability to be a qualified driver under the Universities MVR policy.

Knowledge , Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of the procedures and equipment of a particular skilled trade Mechanical aptitude Ability to read and understand blueprints and/or mechanical diagrams

• Working Conditions Frequent standing and walking with some climbing and lifting of materials weighing 50 to 75 pounds.
• Frequent operation of equipment.
