Job summary

Mountain Brook Schools is seeking a Maintenance Technician skilled in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other trades. The role requires the ability to work independently and may involve directing assistants.

Qualifications

TITLE: Maintenance Technician

CATEGORY/SALARY SCHEDULE: Maintenance

This is a skilled position in such areas as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other relevant trades. Work may include all phases and tasks of the relevant trade. The position requires the ability to work independently and may involve directions and supervision of assistants and helpers. The position requires the ability to perform basic trouble-shooting and non-technical restoration of HVAC and refrigeration systems. Other duties may be assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Documented proof of 5 years experience in the relevant trade, or
• Documented proof of 2 years’ experience in a school system maintenance department in the relevant trade.
• Must maintain regular attendance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
