SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Maintenance Department Manager and as part of the Pine Grove floor management team, this role has full responsibility for internal quality and production targets. You will ensure all internal and external requirements are met. Skills will be acquired through on-the-job training, review of SOPs, and working through daily responsibilities and challenges. Keeps several machines in constant operation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Performs all technical tasks typically associated with being an industrial electrician and mechanic.
- Works toward the successful completion of the requirements to attain the next level of Maintenance Technician performance and job classification.
- Executes work orders and completes documentation as required.
- Uses tools of the mechanical and electrical craft with skill; accomplishes each assignment with quality workmanship, conforming to Guilford and other standards.
- Performs predictive/preventive maintenance as directed.
- Locates source of trouble with electrical and/or mechanical equipment or apparatus by tracing and testing circuits and inspecting for mechanical failures.
- Installs and repairs all types of electrical and electronic equipment such as wiring devices, motors, transformers, starters, circuit breakers, relays, circuit boards, motor drives, PLC modules, etc.
- Is very familiar with computers, and knows/can learn how to use software to find information and perform tasks.
- Possesses basic machine shop skills (use of micrometers, indicators, setting up work/tooling, running machine tools, etc.).
- Possesses basic metal fabrication and building skills (layout, cutting, welding, finishing, etc.).
- Understands and follows all safety procedures (lockout, fall protection, hot work, etc.).
- Maintains good housekeeping in the work area and performs other tasks as directed.
- Demonstrates limited leadership and project management skills/abilities, and exercises good discretionary judgment in the execution of problem identification and resolution.
- Operates mobile equipment (fork trucks, personnel lifts, etc.).
- Occasionally overtime work is required.
- Performs additional duties as requested, needed, or assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED; and six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years electrical OR mechanical experience in a manufacturing setting (5+ years Master Tech III).
