Qualifications

• Previous experience in garment alterations, preferably in men’s tailoring or formalwear.
• Proficient in sewing techniques and basic tailoring equipment.
• Strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and color perception.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills; ability to manage multiple alterations efficiently.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills; professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Willingness and availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert alterations on suits, shirts, coats, blazers, and trousers, including shortening/lengthening sleeves, tapering sides, lowering collars, adjusting trouser waist, and altering trouser length, thighs, and foot widths.
• Accurately mark garments and ensure all alterations meet the company’s high standards for fit and finish.
• Collaborate with sales associates to ensure proper sizing and garment recommendations for customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning tailor shop, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
• Provide high-level customer service by delivering timely and precise alterations, contributing to an elevated in-store experience.
