General Summary & Scope

The Master Stylist engages with guests, consults on hair care needs, and recommends products and services. They deliver quality services focusing on the guest’s total look, supporting the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager through performance, people, and process. A passion for the beauty industry, excellent guest service, and product knowledge are essential.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performance

• Perform various hair services including design, cuts, color, treatments, styling, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing (if applicable).
• Achieve or surpass weekly sales and productivity goals, contributing to store sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrink goals.
• Conduct product demonstrations to enhance sales and guest experience.
• Support in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
• Maintain regular attendance.

People

• Develop relationships through consultations and recommendations.
• Serve all guests efficiently, including walk-ins.
• Collaborate with skin therapists and retail teams for a holistic guest experience.
• Build professional relationships with peers and brand partners.
• Promote the guest loyalty program and app.
• Attend training and meetings for professional development.

Process

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Adhere to service protocols for consistent guest experiences.
• Use booking and client systems effectively.
• Communicate supply needs and maintain store cleanliness.
• Follow dress code and loss prevention practices.
• Perform other operational tasks as assigned.
